Liar Liar

antikris:

I cannot say there’s anything worse in this world than a liar.  I think it is fair to say that I hate liars.  Have you ever known anyone who could lie as effortlessly as taking a breath?  […]

Yes. I have known people like that.

No inspiration.

I’ve started 3 or 4 posts today and couldn’t finish them or deleted them each time.

I have nothing to say, show or feel…for now.

Full-time job + Full-time school? Am I crazy?! I’m trying to fend off disaster with my new mantra: I can do anything for one year.

Likewise, I can do anything—and put up with almost anything—for five months.

Pet peeve:

When people facing me and talking to me lean over my computer monitor or laptop to see what I’m doing, whether consciously or not.

Customer service.

Today is a black list day. That means, roughly, that I’m “taking names.”

It started with the rude, sarcastic man with an attitude problem. My job is to help people and they are not making it easy. They are being frustrating, difficult and a little mean.

Because my job is to help these same people, I can choose to do this in an easy, friendly manner, or I can make things a bit harder.

I do not respond well to rudeness. I mean, I guess I do respond well. I respond in kind.

You get what you give in this life.

Textbook Torrents

Intriguing concept: download full .pdf versions of your textbook so you don’t have to pay the average annual of $700 to $1,100.

I read about this site in this article from the Washington Post.

Gratuitous pic Wednesday…

Back-to-school.

For my final semester of college, some back-to-school clothing shopping is necessary.

  • Jeans — skinny and wide-leg. Maybe different-colored pairs, like mustard or gray. I’ll have to order these online to get the proper inseam.
  • Fall jacket — red, blue or mustard. I’ll try and find this vintage.
  • Dresses — lots of prints, solid colors. I’ll also shop vintage for this and maybe pick up a few basics elsewhere.
  • Skirts — I need a few interesting skirts that can be worn bare-legged or with tights and boots.
  • Scarves
  • Black flat-soled riding boots. I have some flat-soled black boots, but I’d like a more equestrian-inspired pair.

I’m thinking Sunday for the big event.

Blond vs. brunette.

I’m thisclose to dying my hair back to its natural color…

…if I can remember what that color is.

I apologize for the blurry photo; blame it on the archaic camera that’s about to go the way of the archaic laptop. Or, more realistically, blame it on the fact that I was shifting around laughing at my dog who was insanely angry that I left her inside while I was out on my deck.

Jeans — random, no idea where I got them
White pointy flats
Ruffled sleeveless shirt by Paul & Joe for Target
Green jacket — thrifted
